Freaking out in reponse to Trump’s massive mandate from voters and strong record of border enforcement, Connecticut Attorney General William Tong freaked out in a press conference where he falsely accused the president of defunding social security and called on his followers to “Get out there and fight” against Trump.
For context, since violent anti-Trump and anti-ICE riots have swept the nation, critics have taken a closer look at violent Democratic rhetoric, which may have played a part in inciting this wave of lawlessness. Many democrats have encouraged their followers to fight President Trump, which some have interpreted as a call to violence.
Such was shown in Connecticut Attorney General William Tong’s insane rant, where he said, “Hands off hands off Social Security, hands off special education, hands off Medicaid. I have sued him three times just this week. We have sued. We have stopped him. Check, check, check, check. Have you lost the will to fight? Are you in this fight with me every day? Then let’s go.”
Adding context to the video, a prominent conservative voice took to X on June 9, 2025, to say, “INSURRECTION: Don’t forget that Democrat politicians like Connecticut Attorney General William Tong are regularly calling for political violence. Watch Tong’s WILD anti-Trump tirade encouraging Democrats to ‘get out there and fight.’”
Continuing, the same user said, “DEMOCRAT ATTORNEY GENERAL CALLS FOR POLITICAL VIOLENCE
Connecticut AG William Tong brags about the lawfare campaign he is waging against President Trump and calls on his fellow Democrats to get out and fight. On a daily basis Democrats stand before lecterns and call for violence against Republicans.”
Reacting to the stunning footage, many conservatives expressed their rage in the comments. One such reply noted, “Do any of these ‘public’ figures know anything about law and the constitution of the country they [supposedly] belong to? Well, thanks for the video, going to have a hard time denying anything, but I’m sure they’ll try.”
Continuining the negative response, one user stated, “These people need to be arrested. There’s a clear line between free speech and inciting violence, and they crossed it a long time ago.” Agreeing, another comment read, “Put Tong in jail. He has no business telling people to fight and cause violence. He should not be allowed to continue being a DA with his attitude.”
Speculating what would motivate this vile rant, a conservative said,”China plays a big role in all this, along with opportunistic Democrats who couldn’t see an unintended consequence if it hits in the face.” Building on this point, another user questioned, “Who are paying hefty salaries to these professional agitators? Probably American Tax payers themselves.”
